The first milestone I’d like to share with you kind of snuck up on me!
I had the date set in my calendar and when the reminder popped up on my computer, my first thought was “already?!” It’s amazing that it’s already been an entire year since I revived Teen Jazz and I’m so happy that I had the opportunity to share it with you.
It was exactly one year ago today, on August 29, 2012, that I made the decision to revamp Teen Jazz. I got started on a new design and published our first article in several years. Uploading that first article was an awesome feeling and so began writing articles for the site again.
Teen Jazz was started back in 2004 as my own personal site, but around 2005 I began to write advice articles for other up and coming musicians as well as sharing the space with other young performers. It began evolving into a community that included a forum, but as I got more involved in college and in my career as a performer, I ended up having to take a break from the site.
I’m not sure why I decided to recreate the site exactly one year ago, but I’m really glad that I did.
Not to mention, Teen Jazz is coming up on its 10 year anniversary, so for now we’ll celebrate its one-year makeover milestone.
I want to thank each and every one of you that have taken the time to read our articles, comment, share, like, or even contribute. It’s because of you that we’re still around!
In the past year we’ve gone from a few pages to almost 200 articles and interviews, we’ve had visitors from over 100 countries, and we’ve had the opportunity to meet and connect with a ton of great people.
So thank you again for all of your support and here’s to the coming years!
PS. We’re going to be doing an AWESOME giveaway thanks to one of our partners to celebrate our blogiversary and the start of the new school year.
